(1848-1927) Адамс, Брукс
Историк, политолог, младший сын Ч. Ф. Адамса [Adams, Charles Francis (C. F.)]. В "Освобождении Массачусетса" ["The Emancipation of Massachusetts"] (1887) выдвинул тезис выживания сильнейших. В работе "Право цивилизации и ее упадок" ["The Law of Civilization and Decay"] (1895) представлял экономическую историю как серию циклов роста и падения, выдвинув тезис о неизбежной гибели наций. В частности, предполагал, что в 1950 США и Россия будут единственными сверхдержавами, но богатство Америки исчезнет, а ее демократические традиции будут разрушены бесконтрольным бизнесом.
